Do I need a reservation?
If you're bringing 6 or more people, we recommend a reservation so we can staff accordingly. Otherwise, the studio and candle bar is ready for candlemaking during all open hours. You're welcome to come whenever you’d like as an individual or small group! If you'd like to take your candles home on the same day, you will want to arrive at the studio at least 2 1/2 hours before closing time to ensure there is time to create & have them processed. Or, we will happily hold your candles for pick up on another day.
How much does it cost?
The cost is determined by the candle size and home fragrance product you choose to make. So, there is ultimate flexibility! The studio features a variety of candle jar sizes to best complement your personality and home/office decor. Prices range from $27-$50 for custom candles. And, you can also create custom home fragrance items, such as spa salts, room & body sprays and wax tarts from $18-$25. Pre-made, single-scented 8 oz candles and gift sets are also available (ready to buy off the shelf).
How long does it take?
Typically, the fragrance exploration and candle creation takes about 30 minutes. Then, it takes about 2 1/2 hours for your candles to be processed after they’re poured. We intentionally chose the Historic St. Charles and City Foundry STL locations for our studios. Why? Because both locations are nestled in an eclectic mix of fabulous shopping, dining & entertainment! So, after your studio fun, continue the adventure just steps away at the numerous restaurants & shops while our team prepares your candles to take home.
Can I bring a group and host a party?
Yes! We love to host groups and celebrations. Our studio is popular for a variety of special events – bridal & baby showers, bachelorette parties, girls’ night out, book clubs, birthday parties, corporate team-building, and holiday gatherings. What makes your candles different than the rest?
First and foremost, you! We are passionate about helping you creating something truly distinctive for your home, office, friends and family. Everyone’s sense of smell is unique – now, you have the chance to design the perfect formula of your perfect aroma. Smell is highly emotive and brings back our strongest memories. Not quite sure what to create? No problem! Our staff can happily guide you to create the perfect scent. Our candles are natural, clean-burning and soy-based. They feature cotton paper wicks and premium fragrance oils. And, they burn evenly for 60+ hours.
Can I purchase candles/home products in bulk for gift favors or a private label?
Yes! We are happy to sell our candles and home fragrance products (room/body sprays, spa salts, and wax tarts) in wholesale and bulk orders. Plus, we provide private label options and love to create custom orders. Our candles are the perfect gift for clients/family/friends, wedding favors and special events.
Can you help support my non-profit with fundraising?
Yes! We love to help support quality organizations and can do this in two great ways. We're happy to host a "benefit day" at our studio on a mutually agreeable day (Tuesday-Friday). Through your marketing efforts, you spread the word and invite all your friends/family/general public to come! We host and provide your organization with a percentage of all sales from the day. And, we can provide your group with an order form featuring our most popular pre-poured 8 oz candles. Your group sells the candles & we provide the candles to your organization for a discounted fee. Your organization sets the selling price and keeps the profit.
